Cougenita malformsations, premature births, etc, caused 45
(or 53.57%) of the total infant deaths.
Deaths of illegitimate infants.
The death rate of illegitimate infants during 1947 was
68.97 per 1,000, compared with 80.81 for the previous year. The
corresponding death rate of legitimate children was 38.52 (23.17
for 1946)
