POST-GRADUATE EDUCATION
Pour Health Visitors attended the Preliminary Part-time
Teaching Course arranged by the Women Public Health Officers'
Association during the year, and the Superintendent Health Visitor
attended the Advanced Course. The Midwives attended a postgraduate
course arranged by the London, Middlesex and Surrey
County Councils. In addition three midwives attended ante-natal
and post-natal demonstrations organised by the County Councils
and two attended the Post-Graduate School of the Royal College of
Midwives.
PROMOTION OF CLEANLINESS, ETC.
The scheme for head and cleanliness inspections in the
schools worked satisfactorily during the year. Literature on
this subject has Been distributed at the Infant Welfare Centres
and the Health Visitors have also continued to give advice to
parents on the subject of cleanliness and good habits
INFANT WELFARE CLINICS

There are five Infant Welfare Clinics; thirteen sessions for infant consultations are held weekly and three breast feeding clinics.

CONVALESCENT TREATMENT
as in previous years where necessary convalescent
treatment for children under five has been provided by the
Corporation.
DENTAL TREATMENT OP CHILDREN UNDER 5 YEARS
During the year, the numbers of children under 5 years
of age who received dental treatment were:-

Total attendances 520
OPHTHALMIC TREATMENT OF CHILDREN UNDER 5 YEARS
During the year, the numbers of children under 5 years
of age examined by the Ophthalmic Surgeon were:-
First attendance 35
Total attendances 94
Dental and Ophthalmic treatment are free to children
under five.
