MATERNAL MORTALITY
One death was registered as being duo to diseases or accidents
of child-birth as compared with no deaths for the previous year.
The cause of death was:- Ia. Post partum eclampsia, II Toxaomia of
pregnancy. A full enquiry is made into the cause of every maternal
death.
The maternal mortality rate per 1,000 total (live and still)
births was .63. That for England and Wales was 1.79.
