Day Nursery
As a result of an increased scale of charges which came into
operation in January, attendances at the Wanstead Day Nursery
fell considerably, the average daily attendances being 22.3 as compared
with 35.9 for the previous year. Experience shows that there
is still a need for some form of nursery provision for the children
of widows, unmarried mothers, separated and divorced women and
where the mother is the sole support of the family.
