Referrals to the Chest Clinic of pupils who gave a positive
reaction continued, but there were no significant findings.
2. Smallpox;
6,038 primary vaccinations were performed and 6,331 persons
were re-vaccinated during the year.
3. Diphtheria;
442 completed a course of diphtheria immunisation during
the year. 396 re-inforcing injections were also administered.
4. Whooping Cough:
345 children completed a course of immunisation against
whooping cough.
5. Poliomyelitis:
1,179 children completed a course of immunisation against
polionyelitis.

Third injections 2,004
Fourth " 1,807
In addition to the above, 311 persons completed a course
of oral vaccine since this became available (30th June, 1962).
