Scarlet Fever.
There was a decrease in the number of notifications, the
disease continued to be mild in type and nearly half the
cases were nursed at home.
Measles.
As was to be expected after the epidemics in 1945/46,
the incidence was low in the district.
Scabies.
There was a gratifying fall in the number of notifications,
78 as compared with 103 in the previous year and it is hoped
that with gradual improvement in housing conditions the
disease will continue to become less prevalent.
The arrangements for treatment at Buckhurst Hill and
Loughton were unaltered and worked satisfactorily.
