IN THE DISTRICT.
1. ( i) Public Health Officers of the Authority—See page 2.
(ii) (a) Laboratory facilities. Under arrangements made by the
Essex County Council.
(b) Ambulance facilities—no change. Number of ambulance
calls received during the year, 215, as against 195 in
1938. List as follows:—

There is a Child Welfare Centre in each ward in the district:
Buckhurst Hill: The County Council Clinic, Buckhurst Way.
Chigwell: St. Winfred's Church Hall.
Loughton: Union Church Hall, High Road.
All these centres have worked satisfactorily during the year.
