PREVENTION OF BLINDNESS.
No action has been taken under Section 66 of the Public
Health Amendment Act, 1925, by this Authority, for
the prevention of blindness or for the treatment of persons
suffering from any disease or injury to the eyes. Several
persons are, however, receiving assistance from organisations
who care for the blind.

Pulmonary Tuberculosis.
The number of new cases notified during the year was
57. Twenty-two of these were notified from Institutions
(Sanatoria, 2; County Council Hospitals, 7; General Hospitals,
12 ; Mental Hospitals, 1; T.B. Dispensary, Nil).

was 9.
