MATERNAL MORTALITY
No deaths in childbirth, either from puerperal sepsis or other
maternal causes, were recorded during the year. Only two maternal
deaths have occurred in the Borough in the last eight years.
The maternal mortality rate for England and Wales per thousand
live and still births was 0.56.
