The systematic inspection of food shops and other premises where
food is prepared continued during the year, but the number of such
premises in the area is not yet available.
The number of food premises registered under Section 14 of the Food & Drugs Act, 1938 is as follows:—

| Premises registered for the preparation or manufacture of sausages | 43 |
| Premises registered for the preparation or manufacture of potted, pressed, pickled or preserved food | 19 |
