The following information is supplied by Mr. T. Webster,
Borough Surveyor:—
Sewage Disposal Works.—Since the commencement of
1931 four additional percolating filters with appurtenant
works have been put into operation.
Two filters constructed about twenty years ago have been
reconditioned.
All these filters are giving a high degree of purification
to the sewage.
In addition, the modernisation of the sewage disposal
works is being proceeded with and four new filters are being
constructed.
