The houses are of the non-parlour type, built of brick,
and have been sold under the Small Dwellings Acquisition Act.
The flats are three stories high, the walls being built of
brick, and the floors constructed of reinforced concrete. The
tenements are of the non-parlour type and are let at the
inclusive rent of 15s. per week.
Clinic, Pelham Road :—A new clinic has been erected at
Pelham Road. This is a two-storey building and has been
equipped for the treatment of dental, minor ailment and
ophthalmic cases and serves the purpose of a child welfare
centre. An up-to-date laboratory has also been provided.
Baths, Latimer Road:—An extension to the existing
public baths in Latimer Road has been built and is now
practically completed. It comprises a first-class swimming
bath 40-ft. x 100-ft. together with dressing-boxes, showers,
footbath, waiting-rooms, club-rooms and all necessary lavatory
accommodation. An efficient filtration, plant has been installed
to enable the water of the new bath to be cleansed
as often as necessary.
