Bacteriological Examination of Ice Cream
Ninety-four samples were submitted for examination and for
grading in accordance with the provisional test of the Ministry
of Health, with the following results:-
Grade I - 66
Grade II 18
Grade III - 4
Grade IV - 6
Where unsatisfactory samples were talien, the manufacturer
was informed and further check samples taken as soon as possible.
Where samples were taken of ice cream manufactured outside
the district, copies of these reports were forwarded to the
appropriate local authority.
Lollies (Various)
Sixteen samples were examined for bacterial purity, one being
unsatisfactory.
Meat and other foods
There are no slaughterhouses in the Borough.
