F.—PREVALENCE OF, AND CONTROL OVER,
INFECTIOUS AND OTHER DISEASES
General.—The following tables show the age and ward
incidence of the various infectious diseases which are referred to
in later pages of the report.
The total incidence for 1958 was considerably less than in
1957. There were more cases of scarlet fever, dysentery and
erysipelas, but fewer of whooping cough, measles, pneumonia,
poliomyelitis, food poisoning and tuberculosis.
