Noise Nuisance in Streets.—The Health Committee considered
further complaints regarding the alleged nuisance arising from the
excessive playing of music in streets by ice-cream vendors.
Resolved : That, if the Town Clerk is satisfied with the
evidence in any one or more of these cases, the matter be
reported to the Finance and General Purposes Committee
for authority to institute legal proceedings.
A successful prosecution resulted.
Association of Public Health Inspectors.—One-Day Course
Leave of absence was given to four Public Health Inspectors,
to enable them to attend a one-day course of lectures on "Heating
by Gas and Coke" at Watson House, Fulham.
