Section 50—Supply of Water.
Where the Metropolitan Water Board in the exercise of their
right to cut off the water supply to any inhabited house cease to
supply any such house by reason of the defective state of a supply
pipe or fittings the Council may execute such works as they think
expedient in the circumstances of the case to remedy the defect
and the expenses reasonably incurred by the Council in executing
such works shall be recoverable summarily as a civil debt.
Section 53—Hairdressers and Barbers.
As from 1st January, 1957, hairdressers and barbers and their
premises are to be registered and the Council may make bye-laws
for the purpose of securing—
(a) the cleanliness of premises registered under this section and
of the instruments, towels, materials, and equipment used
therein; and
(b) the cleanliness of persons employed in such premises in
regard to both themselves and their clothing.
