Houses erected during 1954 During the calendar year, 28 houses and 51 flats, were erected. 32 houses and 47 flats were erected by private enterprise. Schemes completed by the Council during the year include:—

A number of properties are under construction on various
sites throughout the Borough, including schemes of 60 flats and 36
flats in the First and Second Stages of The Drive and Prospect Hill
redevelopment area.

Schemes included are as follows:—

Beaconsfield Road4 houses—improvement.
Byron Road6 houses—improvement.
Wimera Lodge, Salisbury RoadConversion into four self-contained flats.
Howard RoadConversion of house into flats.

Shakespeare Road1 house—improvements.

the Ministry of Health, and is supplied by the Chief Sanitary
Inspector:—
