Houses erected during 1954 During the calendar year, 28 houses and 51 flats, were erected. 32 houses and 47 flats were erected by private enterprise. Schemes completed by the Council during the year include:—

A number of properties are under construction on various
sites throughout the Borough, including schemes of 60 flats and 36
flats in the First and Second Stages of The Drive and Prospect Hill
redevelopment area.

Beaconsfield Road | 4 houses—improvement. |
Byron Road | 6 houses—improvement. |
Wimera Lodge, Salisbury Road | Conversion into four self-contained flats. |
Howard Road | Conversion of house into flats. |
Eldon Road | 2 houses—repairs and improvements |
Shakespeare Road | 1 house—improvements. |
