" Our small stock of sick-room equipment has been in
constant use and on occasions when additional equipment has
been lent by an organisation charging a fee, the cost of loan
has been met by the Association.
" The experimental scheme of occupational therapy has
shown itself to be of value, and additional looms have been
bought as required. Disposal of work produced has not been
easy, but where sold, it has shown a good return for the
patients' efforts.
" On three occasions during the year the Secretary
addressed local organisations on the work of the Association
and the services available to the tuberculous. In each case
the talk, given at the request of the organisation concerned,
stimulated their interest in the work and increased their understanding
of the needs and problems of the patients.
" The following is a summary of the direct assistance given
to patients or their families during the year, many others having
been helped with advice or put in touch with other organisations
more suited to their particular needs.
