Both Day Nurseries are approved for training in the care of
children aged 0—5 years.
Training.—Nine students obtained the Nursery Nurses Certificate
during the year.
Since the two day nurseries were approved for training in
1944, all students who completed training secured the Certificate
of the National Nursery Examination Board, two only failing at
the first attempt, but passing at the second.
The total certificates gained during these eight years amounted
to 46 and it is of interest to analyse the subsequent careers of the
trainees which were as follows :—
General Hospital Training 12
Children's Nursing Training 1
Residential Nursery Work 3
Other Day Nursery Work (including 4 Wardens) 10
Teaching 7
Promotion in Walthamstow Nurseries 10
