The presence of Bacterium Coli in only four samples indicates
that care in manufacture and cleanliness in handling still
predominates.
(c) Meat and Other Foods.
The Live Stock (Restriction of Slaughtering) Order, 1940, continued
in force and no slaughtering was carried out during the year.
It will be realised that much time has to be devoted to food
inspection and the following list of meat and other food condemned
as unfit for human consumption is indicative of this.
Where possible food was salvaged for processing or animal
food.
