During the year 172 samples of a variety of food and drugs
have been taken for analyses. Of these 3 samples were not
satisfactory the particulars being as fellows:-

RENT AMD MORTGAGE RESTRICTIONS ACTS, 1920-1928.
During the year seven certificates were granted to tenants and
one certificate has been issued upon application and completion
the scheduled works.
DISEASES OF ANIMALS ACTS, 1894-1928.
Regulation of Movement of Swine Order, 1922.- Isolation Notices
affecting 19 swine were received. The Licences were duly observed.
RATS AND MICE DESTRUCTION ACT, 1919.
Much attention has been given to destruction of rats during
the year, particularly to areas affected by enemy action. Such
work necessitates many revisits.
In certain cases prebaiting was carried out, and Cyanide
Gassing of rats has been executed wherever practicable .
In connection with this work, two labourers have been available
from the Cleansing Department.
