Your Council during the year decided that those Health Visitors.
Nurses and Midwives who desire to retire at the age of 60 years
under the 1937 Act and who will not have completed 40 years' service
be granted additional annual compensatory allowances representing
the difference between the pension due at the age of 60 years and
the pension that would be payable if the officer remained in the
service until the age of 65 years, such additional allowance to be
paid out of the fund to which the salary is normally charged, subject
to such superannuation allowance not exceeding two-thirds of the
employee's average annual remuneration.
