Five probationers were successful in the first part of their
Fever Certificate examination, and two obtained the Certificate on
completion of training
General The death rate per 100 admissions of infectious
disease patients was 129 and per 100 total admissions 212
During the year the County Council continued the amount of
the grant payable by them in respect of infectious disease beds
The grant was made up as follows:—
£
(1) £5 per bed on a basis of 2,000 cubic feet per
bed (ie, 81 beds) 405
(2) £10 per ambulance 20
Total £425
The County Council has formulated a scheme for Isolation
Hospital accommodation in the County, which provides for a Joint
Hospital of 261 beds to serve the Boroughs of Walthamstow and
Leyton Negotiations are proceeding
