Fever, 10; Diphtheria 34; Dysentery, 28; Total, 72
Disinfection—At the beginning of the year, two 119 Morris
Vans were brought into use to replace the two existing vans
G—INFECTIOUS DISEASES HOSPITAL
Renovations, etc—The following works of renovation and
maintenance were carried out during 1937 :—
A Block—Interior renovation of scullery, provision of new
barless fires, hearths and curbs to Nurses' Sitting Room
Replacement of defective concrete paving with red flag
paving
Extensive repairs and repointing of chimney stacks
and repointing of ridge and hip tiles
B Block—Provision of new concrete floor to two Dressing
Rooms and portion of corridor
Provision of new doors and concrete platforms
D Block—Interior and exterior renovations
E Block—Replacement of defective concrete paving with red
flag paving
F Block—Interior and exterior renovations
Replacement of defective portions of concrete paving
with red flag paving
G Block—Interior renovations
T Block—Cleansing throughout
Shelters adjoining T Block—Interior and exterior renovations
I^aundry Block—Cleansing throughout
Mortuary—Exterior renovation
Lodge-—R«decoration of various rooms
General—Renovation of entrance gates, provision of new flagstaff,
new mess room and repairs to garden frames, lights
and fences Renewal of defective gas main from road
adjoining A Block to D Block
Staff—The staff at the end of the year remained the same
as that detailed in the Report for 1935
