The high return case rate for 1934/5 will be noted—the obvious
explanation being the high incidence causing relative overcrowding
of Wards with consequent increased complications, cross-infection
and return cases
DIPHTHERIA
A total of 101 cases of Diphtheria was notified during 1937, as
compared with 106 in 1936
