Sanitary Inspector, and those who proved efficient after three
tests were retained for the measurements required under the
Form B survey.
Forms B, after completion by the survey assistants, were
returned to the office and were then scored by the clerical
staff in the prescribed manner.
The Tables attached show the result of the survey with
respect to the Borough as a whole, and with respect to
properties owned by the Local Authority and with respect to
clearance areas (2nd Programme) under the Housing Act
1930.
The information set out in the attached Tables can only
be claimed to be approximately correct in view of the many
suspected instances where false information may have been
supplied to the survey staff. It must be stressed that the
whole accuracy of the survey rests on the information given
for the completion of Forms A, which was admittedly only a
" doorstep " survey. At the same time, the survey was carried
out strictly in accordance with the wishes of the Minister of
Health.
The approximate cost of the survey to March 31st, 1936,
has been £629, against an estimated cost of £750.
Form C for the whole Borough is included as an appendix
at the end of the report.
