and sent to the Ministry of Health. Some are not classed as Maternal
Deaths by the Registrar-General.
16. MISCELLANEOUS.
(a) Pemphigus Neonatorum.—Your Council decided to make
no recovery in respect of medical aid summoned by midwives in
respect of suspected pemphigus.
(b) Cookery Demonstrations.—A series of cookcry demonstrations
were given at the Low Hall Lane Welfare Centre on October
5th, 6th and 7th by a demonstrator of the National Milk Publicity
Council.
(c) Children and Young Persons Act, 1932.—Your Council's
Medical Officer of Health, Assistant Medical Officers and Health
Visitors were designated as Infant Protection Visitors under the
Act.
(d) Diphtheria Immunisation.—Your Council approved of
these facilities being extended to children over the age of one year
attending Welfare Centres.
