The following cases were transferred to Whipps Cross Hospital:—
Erysipelas, 1; Pyaemia supervening on Septic Scarlet Fever, 1;
Perforated Gastric Ulcer, 1; Mastoid Disease, 2; Pyogenic Cervical
Adenitis, 1; Septic Foot, 2; Rheumatism, 1; Paratyphoid
Fever, 1; Appendicitis (to Connaught Hospital), 1.
Duration of Treatment.—The average duration of treatment
in Hospital was as follows:—
Diphtheria 40.4 days.
Scarlet Fever 35.2 days.
Paratyphoid Fever 26.5 days.
Chickenpox 21.0 days.
Mixed Infections 37.5 days.
The County Medical Officer has kindly furnished the following return of patients treated in the Tuberculosis Pavilion during 1931:—

MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS.
During the year 56 examinations were carried out by the
Medical Staff in respect of the Superannuation Scheme and 103 in
respect of the Sick Pay Scheme.
