Sheep Scab Order, 1920. —No cases of this disease occurred
in the Borough during the year.
The Council adopted the Sheep Scab Order of 1928 during the
year, and under licence of this Order 496 sheep were admitted into
this Town for slaughter. The requirements as to dipping have been
carried out.
The Regulation of Movement of Swine Order, 1922.—Under
this Order 1,468 pigs for slaughter were admitted into this Borough
during the year. All notices of such movements have, as far as
practicable, been followed up.
In addition, 7 pigs were admitted on detention licences and the
periods of detention carried out.
Tuberculosis Order, 1925.—Routine quarterly inspections
were carried out by your Veterinary Surgeon and three samples of
Milk from a suspected cow were submitted for biological tests, but
each gave a negative result.
Poisons and Pharmacy Act, 1908.—No licences were issued
during the year.
