The following were found to be suffering from defects other than errors of refraction:—

Also one girl apparently physically healthy whose vision was
6/24 on Snellin's Type with a low degree of Hypermetropic Astigmatism,
the correction of which did not bring the vision up to
normal. However, on being given Thyroid ¼ grain daily for a
fortnight she recovered 6/6 vision, only to return to 6/24 on
discontinuing the Thyroid. She has now left our School and gone
under the County Authority.

All children suffering from Squints are submitted to refraction,
and suitable glasses ordered, and at the same time the mothers are
