In addition to the cases of Scarlet Fever complicated by Chicken
Pox, Measles and Whooping Cough included in the group "Other
Diseases," six cases proved to be incubating Chicken Pox and three
cases developed Measles shortly after admission. Seven cases
proved on bacteriological examination to be infected with Klebs
Loeffler Bacilli though showing no clinical signs of Diphtheria.
One death occurred as a result of Scarlet Fever, giving a case
Mortality of 0.34 per cent.
The chief complications were as follows:- Otorrhoea, 7; Simple
Arthritis, 4; Suppurative Adenitis, 2; Endocarditis, 2.
Diphtheria.—One hundred and seventy-three cases of Diphtheria
were admitted during the year, compared with 232 in 1924, 170 in
1923, and 222 in 1922.
