Influenza and Pneumonia.—These diseases showed a lower incidence
in 1950 as compared with 1949.

The incidence of influential and primary pneumonia throughout the year is shown by the following table.

It will be seen from the above figures that of 120 persons notified .is
suffering from acute primary pneumonia there were 10 deaths, equal to 8'3
percent.; and in the case of acute influenzal pneumonia 74 notifications
with 9 deaths, equal to 121 per cent.
3. Tuberculosis.—During the year 1950 there was 230 new notifications
of Pulmonary Tuberculosis and 23 of other forms of Tuberculous.
12 cases of Pulmonary and 3 cases of Non.Pulmonary Tuberculosis were
transferred to Ilford.
