Figures in brackets indicate number over 14 years of age.
All educationally subnormal children are re-examined once a year and,
where necessary, are visited at home by the School Nurses at least once a
quarter.
Employment of School Children and Young Persons.—From special
inquiries made at the various schools during 1945, it was found that 11
children were employed out of school hours. 11 children were submitted
for medical examination in accordance with the Byelaws made under Part 11
of the Children and Young Persons Act, 1933, with the following result:—

Rules, 1945.—Three certificates were granted during the year.
Examination of Officers, etc.—The undermentioned teachers and
other officers were medically examined and reported upon during the year:—

School Camps.—The three Ilford School Camps remained in being
during 1945 and the general procedure outlined in the report for 1940
continued.

Immunisation (Diphtheria and Scarlet Fever).—Owing to the depletion
of medical staff of the Department, and the inability of Professor Wilson,
of the Emergency Public Health Laboratory Service at Oxford, for a similar
reason, to undertake the work again, the immunisation at Kennylands and
Finnamore Wood School Camps could not be carried out.
