Infant Welfare Centres.—79 voluntary lady helpers were engaged
in the work at the Infant Welfare Centres at the end of December, 1945.
During the year the following attendances were recorded:—
Total number of attendances of infants 37,710
First attendances 2,362
Total number of children on roll, December 31st, after
omission of all those who had not attended for six
months 3,246
13,254 attendances of children from 1 to 5 years were made at the
Infant Welfare Centres during the year.
The following is a comparison of the attendances at the Infant Welfare Centres for the past five years:—

expectant and nursing mothers and children under 5 years of age during
1945: 113 at Valentine's Clinic, and 49 at Mayesbrook Clinic.
