The deaths registered in the three sub-districts during the
year were:—
St. George, Bloomsbury 212
St. Giles, South 312
St. Giles, North 193
Total 717
Of these 388 were males and 329 were females.
Again corrections have to be made to the registered
deaths in order to obtain a true death-rate; for this purpose
the deaths of 51 non-parishioners, which took place at the
Workhouse, Endell Street, and the French Hospital,
Shaftesbury Avenue, must be deducted, and the deaths* of
253 parishioners, which occurred in the General Hospitals,
