Public Urinals.
In October last an arrangement was come to between
the Board and the Foundling Hospital by which the
Foundling Hospital granted the Board a piece of land in
the Colonnade, adjoining the "Friend in Hand" publichouse,
fur the purpose of erecting a new urinal in lieu of
the existing one. The new urinal accommodates 6 persons,
the fittings to the same being supplied and fixed by Mr.
G. Jennings, of Lambeth ; the total cost was £113.
The urinals at present in the District number 14, containing
51 compartments; 12 have water laid on to them, the
others are without water supply.

As occasion has arisen during the year new circular lamps
have been fixed in lieu of the old square lanterns; the total
number of the new lamps in the District at the present time,
each consuming 5 feet of gas per hour, is 916; and of the old
square pattern lamps, 153. There are also 64 lamps of
