Sewers.

The following Sewer Works were performed during the year:-

Denmark Street350 feet run new 4 ft. by 2 ft. 6 in. brick sewer.
Betterton Street410 feet run existing sewer underpinned and repaired.
Shaftesbury Avenue, from Endell Street to High Street, and Dyott Street, south end250 feet do. do.
Bloomsbury Square, from Bedford Place to Great Russell Street150 feet do. do.
Marchmoat StreetNew side entrance.
Little White Lion Streetdo. do.

The east end of the sewer in Castle Street which terminated
with a head wall was connected with the sewer in
Neal Street.
The whole of the covers to the side entrance to sewers
were repaired and painted at a cost of £26 19s. 1d.
Flushing of Sewers and Courts.
The following sewers were twice flushed by water obtained
from the New River Company's mains; once in June
and again in September.
