Partially Sighted Register
Partially sighted persons are defined as "substantially and
permanently handicapped by congenitally defective vision, or in whose
case illness or injury has caused defective vision of a substantial and
permanently handicapping character".
During the year, six partially sighted persons died, three
moved out of the area and nine were transferred to the blind person's
register. Four transferred into the borough from outside and there were ten new cases.

The following summary of cases on the register at 31st December 1968 therefore, shows a reduction of four cases as compared with 1967.
