Twelve visits were made in connection with canal
boats during the year.
RATS AND MICE (DESTRUCTION) ACT, 1919
Fifteen complaints were received in respect of rat
infested premises during the year.
Amongst a comprehensive Public Health exhibit in the
Civic Festival Week exhibition, was one dealing with the
rat problem, and it received considerable attention from
visitors, many of whom subsequently sought further information
and advice from the department.
The policy of baiting the public sewers was continued
with satisfactory results. The Corporation properties also
were dealt with throughout the year, thus showing an excellent
example to property owners in the Borough.
CONCLUSION
I desire to offer my thanks to the Chairman and
Members of the Public Health Committee and Corporation
generally, for their continued consideration and support,
and to the Officers who have afforded me assistance and
information whenever required.
I am, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Your obedient servant,
HAROLD T. PERRY, f.s.I.a., m.r.s.I.,
Chief Sanitary Inspector.
Guildhall,
Kingston-upon-Thames.
