A very considerable amount of time is devoted to
interviews with property owners or their architects, agents
or builders, either at the office or at the premises under
review. It is safe to assert that in the majority of cases
these interviews prove the means of clearing away difficulties
or misunderstandings which may exist, and they certainly
avoid the necessity for legal proceedings in some
cases.
During the year under review 328 enquiries under the
Land Charges Act, 1925, were received from the Town
Clerk's Department and replied to.
For convenience of reference the number of inspections
and visits is set out in the following tabular form:—
