The work at the Inspection and Minor Ailments Clinic
continues to increase, there having been 6,999 attendances
during the year, or 527 more than in 1927.
There was no School Closure on account of Infectious
Disease. Diphtheria has been prevalent this year. Immunisation
against diphtheria is not offered at present, but
must be a subject for careful consideration in the near future.
I thank the Staff of the School Medical Service for their
co-operation and willing assistance at all times.
I am,
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Your Obedient Servant,
E. W. MATTHEWS,
School Medical Officer.
