were made to the Cinemas during performances in connection
with the ventilation of the premises.
The premises generally are satisfactory. Suggestions
made to the Managers with respect to the sanitary condition
of the premises are invariably well received and acted
upon.
Canal Boats Acts, 1877 to 1884.
In accordance with Section 3 of the Canal Boats Act,
1884, I beg to report as follows :—
During the year 1923, six visits were made to Canal
Boats alongside the Wharves.
During the year the Canal Boats Order, 1922, came into
force. This Order provides that certain vessels which were
registered under the Merchant Shipping Acts, 1894 to 1921,
and which were not subject to inspection under the Canal
Boats Acts, are now brought within the scope of the latter
Acts and are subject to inspection. The Order will cause
a considerable increase in this branch of the work.
