SECTION 29-HOME HELP SERVICE
In my reports for 1956/57 I referred to the sterling community work of the Home Help Service in
laudatory phrases.
In the two years under review their average hours of service rendered to the public each week
has risen to well over 3000 hours, and the quality of the service if anything has been refined to meet
the peculiar needs of old people and others threatened by breakdown without this humanitarian medicosocial
support afforded by an enlightened council through their Home Help Service.
