SECTION 29 - HOME HELP SERVICE
In my last report I commented on the fine work of the Home Help Organizer, Miss Knight, and her
staff.
Their work throughout the past two years has indelibly endorsed all that was written ln 1955.
Hardly a dissentient note has been raised to lessen the volume of praise which has been voiced from
every quarter of the borough.
I should add the administrative work required to ensure first the imperative need of the service
in individual households and secondly the equitable distribution of available working hours between
the recipients, is a difficult and taxing task which demands all the skill, patience and understanding
of the organiser and certain members of the office staff who specialize ln this work.
