It will be noted that although no midwives are shown in section 2(a) of table 16 a total of 5 deliveries is shown
under this section of table 17 These deliveries were attended by midwives of the Silvertown and North Woolwich District
Nursing Association which terminated its agency agreement with the Authority and ceased to function on 1st November
1955 Since that date the Council's own midwives have attended mothers in the area formerly covered by the Association
