The staff now consists of -
One Supervisor
Three Assistant Supervisors
One Guide and Assistant
who are able for some periods to segregate and group the defectives Into
smaller units for instruction.
A sale of work. is held regularly, an annual outing for the defectives
is arranged, and a very good Christmas show and party is given in which
the defectives themselves perform a Nativity play and sing, presents
from the Christmas tree are given to each child, usually by the Chairman of
the Health Committee, assisted by the staff of the Mental Health department
and interested friends of the Occupation Centre.
An annual holiday also is arranged under the auspices of the National
Association for Mental Health, for both males and females, and in general
much is done to mitigate the burden imposed on family life by a defective in
its midst.
