SECTION 23 - MIDWIFERY SERVICE,
Under their supervisor, Miss Pilkington, the domiciliary midwives
employed by the Council now constitute a strong team whose work reaches a
high level of efficiency. There is some evidence that this service will
be Increasingly used by the mothers in the years to come and should again
play a more important role in re-establishing the home and family life as
the centre of community well-being.
