Diphtheria.
One hundred and forty-eight cases admitted to Infectious Diseases
Hospital; 140 cases received hospital treatment. The reason for this
difference is that patients were admitted from Aldersbrook Homes and
Whipps Cross Hospital.
Scarlet Fever.
Hospital report gives 234 admissions, whereas 253 cases received
hospital treatment. Nineteen cases were treated in other Authorities'
Hospitals.

Erysipelas.

The number of notified cases of Erysipelas treated in hospitals was

Enteric Fever.
Fifteen cases were removed to hospital, 14 to Infectious Diseases
Hospital (1 case diagnosis not confirmed) 1 to St. Barts. Hospital and
1 case to East Ham Memorial Hospital. The case admitted to the
Memorial Hospital died during the year 1938.
