Training and Occupation Centre.
The work of the Centre has been progressive at both
sessions.
The boys are shewing greater independence and, in some
instances, carry out their duties with a minimum of supervision.
One lad has since commenced work at a cane factory. The
attendance at the morning class has improved, and the boys are
interested and attentive.
The girls' class shews satisfactory results, although for a
time some appeared at a standstill. Change of work arouses new
interests, and one girl who was making little progress, now
undertakes Italian quilting with ability and keenness which is
not confined to her attendance at the Centre. Many orders for
embroidery have been received and the work has been excellent.
Absentees are mainly limited to younger children.
