Blind Persons Act, 1920
The East Ham Welfare Association for the Blind has continued
its good work throughout the year. The report states that
all activities have been well maintained and the objects of the
Association satisfactorily sustained. The number of blind persons
on the register is 219, being 15 less than the previous year. The
Committee record their appreciation of the hearty co-operation of
the East Ham Council and the Education Authority in their
work, and the grant of one hundred pounds to their funds.
The Council's Ophthalmic Specialist examines all new cases
and certifies where necessary.
